Gujarati typing test and course — Inscript

PixType is built in Gandhinagar, and Gujarati is a first-class language here: the same 12-unit touch-typing path as English and Hindi, using the Inscript layout that government typing tests expect.

Gujarati typing in GSSSB exams

The Bin Sachivalay clerk and office assistant exams include a Gujarati typing test alongside English typing and a computer practical. Practise with PixType's 10-minute exam mode.

Why Inscript

Inscript places vowels on the left hand and consonants on the right, in the same positions for every Indian script — learn it once for Gujarati and you already know the Hindi layout.

Course structure

Home row કતપરચટ, matras કો કે કિ કુ, top and bottom rows, halant and conjuncts, shift letters, punctuation and numerals, words, sentences, paragraphs and exam passages.

Frequently asked

Does it work in school computer labs?

Yes. It runs in Chrome or Edge on old Windows PCs, needs no account and works offline after the first visit.

Can students type on a phone?

Lessons open on a phone, but touch typing needs a real keyboard — pair a Bluetooth keyboard or use the lab PC.
