Keyboard shortcuts you actually press

Reading a list of shortcuts does not make them stick; pressing them does. PixType's trainer shows a task — 'Bold', 'Undo', 'Switch window' — and waits for you to press the real combination on your keyboard.

The 20 shortcuts every student should know

Ctrl+C copy · Ctrl+V paste · Ctrl+X cut · Ctrl+Z undo · Ctrl+Y redo · Ctrl+A select all · Ctrl+S save · Ctrl+P print · Ctrl+F find · Ctrl+B/I/U bold, italic, underline · Alt+Tab switch window · Alt+F4 close · Win+D desktop · Win+E File Explorer · Win+L lock · F2 rename · F5 refresh · Ctrl+T new tab · Ctrl+W close tab.

Shortcuts asked in computer-awareness exams

Bank and SSC papers regularly ask the function of Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+P, Alt+F4, F2, F5, F7 and F12. The trainer's Windows and Word sets cover all of them, and the quiz section tests you.

Six apps covered

Windows · MS Word and Google Docs · Excel, Sheets and Calc · Chrome and Edge · Mac · VS Code — with a printable one-page cheat sheet per app.

Frequently asked

Why do some shortcuts say 'tap on screen'?

Browsers reserve combinations like Ctrl+W and Ctrl+T; those are practised by tapping the keys on screen instead.

Is there a Hindi version?

The interface runs in English, Hindi and Gujarati; shortcut names are the same in every language.
