Hindi typing test and course — Inscript

Inscript is the Government of India standard Hindi keyboard layout and the one used in SSC, railway and state typing tests. PixType teaches it from the home row (क त प र च ट) to full passages, on a normal QWERTY keyboard, with an on-screen guide showing which key gives which letter.

Inscript vs Remington vs Kruti Dev

Inscript is Unicode (Mangal font) and the official standard; Remington GAIL and Kruti Dev are legacy typewriter layouts still asked for in some court and state clerk posts. Learn Inscript first; PixType adds Remington in exam mode later.

Hindi typing speed for government exams

SSC CHSL LDC/JSA: 30 WPM Hindi (about 9,000 key depressions per hour) in 10 minutes. RRB NTPC: 25 WPM in 10 minutes. PixType's exam mode scores you against these cut-offs.

How the Hindi course is built

12 units × 8 lessons: home row consonants, matras (को के कि कु), top and bottom rows, halant and conjuncts, shift letters, punctuation and numerals, common words, sentences, paragraphs and exam passages.
